March Madness Tournament

Ricky Fredette (L) came away with the championship in the 2017 March Madness Tournament. Ricky earned $1500 for his efforts.

For nearly a decade the March Madness event was one that area bowlers always looked forward to. The tournament is back in 2018 with a new date and name. The Match Play Madness Tournament will now take place in April each year as we have a new time with little conflict. This year the event will run the same as last year. Entry fee is $80 with two qualifying squads at 9:30am and 1pm. Qualifying will be 4 games across 8 lanes. 1 in 5 bowlers will advance to the single game match play from each squad. Bowlers who don’t qualify on the 9:30am squad can re-enter at 1pm.

This year’s event is limited to 80 bowlers on each squad. First place will pay $1600 while the last cash spot will get at least $160.
Brackets will be offered during qualifying games 1,2,3 and 2,3,4. We will also have reverse brackets for the same games.

As always, this event will be contested on a tournament condition. Please download the entry form and rules.

Only entries with full payment will be guaranteed a spot.

Ricky Fredette was last year’s champion after he defeated David Simard 453-410 in the final match.  Fredette took home $1500 for his efforts while Simard received $750 for his runner-up finish.
