New York State Open Senior Championships

Kingpin’s Alley hosted the New York State Open Senior Championships for two weekends on October 15-16 and October 22-23, 2016. The event will be held October 15-16 & October 22-23, 2016.  There were six divisions for this event. Those divisions were:

  • Super Senior – age 75 and up
  • Division A – age 70-74
  • Division B – age 65-69
  • Division C – age 60-64
  • Division D – age 55-59
  • Division E – age 50-54

The tournament consisted of doubles, singles, and a six game combine.

Kingpin’s Alley bowlers faired quite well in the tournament. Ed Lyon and John Underwood claimed the Super Senior doubles title.
Wyman Swinton teamed up with John Williams to win the doubles title in Class B.
Mike Scheerer and Craig Morrell finished in second place in the Class D doubles.
Dan Billington and Kingpin’s Alley owner, Doug Bohannon took first place in the Class E doubles
John Urban won the singles title in the Super Senior division.
Floyd Butler finished in second place in the Class A singles event.
Kingpin’s Alley’s own Roy Brady won the Class B singles title as well as the Class B 6 game combine.
Ellen Marcantonio won the Class C singles event while Bob Evans got second place.
Mike Scheerer took second place in the Class D singles.
KPA owner Doug Bohannon landed in third place in the Class E singles. The “Bossman” also took second place in the Class E 6 game combine.
